Character map tracker
Know where every character is — and was
Give each character a place, see them on your map, and step through your story’s timeline to watch them move.
See characters on the mapGive everyone a place
A Location field on a character points at a place in your world. The character then stands on every map that shows that place — spread around it when several share it.
Move them on the map
Drag a character onto another place and their location changes. No form to fill in, and the card, the graph and the map stay in agreement.
Record a move in your world’s history
Moves can happen at a point in your world’s chronology — the night of the raid, the morning after the coronation. Recording one keeps the earlier place in history instead of overwriting it.
See any moment
Set Viewing to a point in your world or a chapter, and the map shows where everyone was then. Compare two moments, and the map lists who moved.
Follow one character’s journey
A character’s card lists the maps they appear on and where they were, point by point — so a long journey stays consistent from the first chapter to the last.
Who holds which land
Mark a relationship type as belonging — rules, controls, owns — and areas on the map are coloured by who holds them at the moment you are viewing. Kingdoms change hands as your story does.
From the tavern to the continent
A character in a tavern on the city map also shows on the world map, at the city. Nobody gets lost between maps.
Beside your manuscript
Open the map in the Writer’s side panel. It follows the chapter you are writing, so it shows where everyone is at that point in the story.
Try it in the demo
In the demo, the Ashen Circle’s characters stand in the city of Duskhollow and you can drag them to new places. Moves over time and comparing moments are in the app.
FAQ
How is this different from pins on an image?
Positions come from your characters’ cards, so the map always agrees with the rest of your story bible — and it knows when things happened.
Do I need dates in my world?
No. Points in your world can be undated; their order is what counts.
What if a character is in two places at once?
Lokee marks it as a conflict on the map instead of quietly picking one.
Does it work with a large cast?
Yes. Characters sharing a place are spread around it, and a side panel lists who is on the map, filtered by type.
Is it free?
Yes. Maps and places are free on every plan, including the free local app.
