LOKEE ACCEPTABLE USE AND SENSITIVE DATA POLICY
Effective date: 25 June 2026 (25.06.2026)
Legal URL: https://lokee.app/acceptable-use
1. Intended use
Lokee is intended for fiction-first and history-first knowledge work: worldbuilding, writing, RPG projects, research organisation, source mapping, timelines, entities and relationships. It is not intended to be a compliance-grade repository for private or sensitive personal data.
2. Local vaults and online services
We do not proactively inspect local-only vaults. Users control local files and are responsible for what they store on their own devices. However, when users use cloud sync, managed AI, team features, web access, support attachments, billing or any other online feature, this policy applies strictly.
3. Sensitive data restriction
Users must not use online Lokee services for special-category personal data, criminal-offence data, children’s data, health records, HR/customer records, identity documents, passwords, secrets, API keys or other high-risk data unless a separate written agreement, legal basis and security arrangement has been agreed. The default Lokee product is not a data-processing service for such use.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
The following are prohibited in cloud, AI, sync, team, support and web features:
- child sexual abuse material and any sexual exploitation of minors;
- non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual blackmail material;
- illegal pornography or content whose possession, distribution or processing is unlawful;
- content facilitating trafficking, serious violence, terrorism, serious crime, illegal weapons activity or unlawful controlled-substance trade;
- malware, phishing, credential theft, spyware or unauthorised access;
- doxxing, unlawful surveillance, stalking or privacy violations;
- unlawful processing of sensitive/private personal data;
- infringement of copyright, trade secrets, confidentiality, database rights or third-party contractual restrictions;
- attempts to bypass billing, security, access control, storage limits or rate limits.
5. Our response
Where prohibited use is detected, credibly reported or legally notified, we may restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, delete or preserve content, block AI processing, refuse support, report matters to competent authorities and cooperate with lawful requests. We may preserve relevant data where necessary for security, legal compliance, evidence preservation or claims.
6. User responsibility
The user is responsible for ensuring that imported documents, uploaded content, AI submissions, synced vaults and team materials are lawful and that the user has the rights and legal basis to process them. Lokee is a tool; it does not grant rights to content the user does not own or cannot lawfully process.
