1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Lokee uses cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies on the website and web application. Pure local desktop vault use is not intended to include web analytics or telemetry.
2. Categories

3. Google Analytics
Lokee plans to use Google Analytics on the website and web application to understand traffic, downloads, conversion funnels and usage of online features. We should configure analytics to minimise unnecessary personal data collection and respect consent settings.
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Lokee is free to use and partly funded by advertising. Ads are provided by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). They are shown only to visitors who are not signed in, on public pages of the website and in the public demo. There are no ads in the desktop app, in the Android app, or anywhere once you are signed in.
No code from Google’s advertising service is loaded until you choose “Accept” in the consent banner. If you choose “Decline”, no advertising code is loaded. We ask Google for non-personalised ads: they are chosen from the page you are viewing and general information such as approximate location and language, not from a profile of you. Google may still use cookies or local storage for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and to detect fraud and abuse. For visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google may serve “limited ads”, which use such storage only to detect invalid traffic.
Ads are never chosen from what you write in Lokee, and the content of your vault or of the demo is not sold to or shared with advertisers. Google acts as an independent controller for the data it processes to deliver ads; see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Consent banner
Lokee uses its own consent banner with a single choice that covers analytics and advertising. Non-essential cookies, analytics and advertising do not run before you choose. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website.
6. Desktop telemetry
The local desktop app is not intended to use telemetry for local vault operations. Crash reporting is not currently planned. If desktop telemetry or crash reporting is introduced later, this policy and the app UI should be updated.
7. Changes
This policy may be updated when analytics, advertising, consent tooling, newsletter tools or app telemetry change.
