What it is: Lokee is a story bible and worldbuilding app: it keeps characters, places, relationships, timelines and maps connected to the manuscript they come from.
Who it is for: It is made for novelists, series writers and game masters who need to keep track of a large cast over a long story.
What it includes: Lokee includes a manuscript writer, entity cards, a relationship graph in 2D and 3D, a family tree, a plot board, notes, a timeline, story events, a consistency check and maps.
Time: Lokee tracks what was true at each point of a story: changes are recorded at moments in the world’s chronology or in chapters, and every view can show any moment or compare two.
Maps: Lokee includes a map maker: draw maps of a world, nest them, turn a photo of a hand-drawn map into an editable map, and see where each character is at any moment.
Where it runs: Lokee runs as a desktop app on Windows and macOS, in the browser, and on Android. The desktop app works fully offline.
Plans and prices: The Local plan is free forever and includes one free cloud vault of up to 100 entities. Sync costs $5.99 a month and adds up to five cloud vaults, cross-device sync, browser access and 50 managed AI credits a month. Team costs $9.99 a month.
AI: AI features are optional. They extract characters and places from a manuscript and propose changes that the author reviews before anything is saved. They use Lokee credits, or the author’s own key or a local model in a local vault.
Privacy: Local vaults stay on the author’s computer as open JSON files. Lokee does not train models on what authors write, never chooses ads from it, and does not sell personal data.
Ads: Visitors who are not signed in may see ads on Lokee’s public website and demo. There are no ads in the apps or for signed-in users.
